Mythology of Ancient Egypt

The mythology of Ancient Egypt is considered to be one of the most developed and richest mythologies known in the history of the ancient civilizations existence.
This mythology started to form in 6-4 millenniums BC. Since then it changed a lot even before the class society was formed. The worship of one of the gods passed through the long and complicated way of development and evolution from the cult of the local god to the great worship of them in the whole Egypt.
It was connected with the glorification of every Dynasty that worshiped some mythological creature or god. The vivid example of it is the spread of the cult of the goddess of the city Sais Neit in 7-6 centuries BC with the ruling of the dynasty at that time.
When the Egyptian mythology was forming, almost every region and city had its own god. The local gods had different incarnations. They could be animals, birds, trees, stones or even the phenomena of nature.
Mythology of Ancient Egypt was one of the most well-developed and spread. There were priests that made the system of gods and myths about them. The difference of Egyptian mythology is that there were a lot of variants of the same myth in different local cities of the country.
With time mythology developed so much that some images of Egyptian myths were united with the image of pharaoh.
