Artistic Egypt
There was the tradition of giving knowledge from the master to the pupil and from the pupil to people. Such tradition was proper for Ancient Egypt. And it connected the mysterious forms of the art with the culture of that time as well as with the culture of the modern world.
The Greek masters went to Egypt to get knowledge in arts. And later Greek people spread this knowledge got in Egypt all over the world. That is why the art of Ancient Egypt plays so important role for the development of culture and arts in particular.
Egypt was the first country in the world that gave the stone monumental architecture famous for its realistic features of the sculptural portrait, skilled works of art. The Egyptian architects and sculptors were the experts in the work with the stone. They made the art craft perfect developing such arts as jewellery with the use of precious metals and stones, the work of the metal, wood engraving, the glass production, and the production of the best fabrics in the world decorated with the golden threads. These works of the Egyptian masters combine the great taste in choosing the form and the material with the unusual careful work.
The characteristic feature of Egyptian art is that it was made to serve the cult of pharaoh. Religion was the base of the art of Ancient Egypt. And the majority of artworks created during centuries had the religious meaning. Masterpieces were created only to put them into the tomb of the pharaoh.
